Introduction to Number Theory

Service Description

This class covers the field of number theory, or the study of integers. What properties do they have? What kinds of interesting problems can we solve with them? For students who are new to this type of mathematical thinking, we will be building a solid understanding starting from the fundamentals; for students who have more problem-solving experience, we will be solidifying their conceptual thinking and challenging them with trickier problems. We will cover the essentials of number theory, including primes and composites, divisors and multiples, divisibility, remainders, modular arithmetic, and number bases.
